This piece is based on a photo my partner took one Friday evening when we got to train with the fabulous Castellers de Barcelona. They welcomed us into their community and taught us the basics. We were in awe of the team work, focus and complete joy of this community.
This felt like an absurd piece to try and capture- and due to the kiln gods it almost was! But I love this piece and loved playing with the abstraction in the lower section- picking out a key colour from someone’s shirt for the glass colour choices. I can’t wait for the Castellers to see it!
